So it seems that I've caught the flu and I've been under the covers since last Thursday. I had high hopes for today, in fact I ate a whole meal, washed my hair, brushed my teeth. I was thiiisssss close to an outfit photo but it just did not happen. Luckily I remembered that I had photos from last week. It turned out to be a red letter day after all.

I wore this outfit when we went out for pizza the other night. You see, when B and I go out on dates (remember by 'dates' that just means we aren't cooking dinner), we usually head to a restaurant at 5:30, beat the crowd, maybe stop by Target if I can talk him into and we're home by 7. Therefore this is the outfit that happens on 'date' nights. Heels aren't really necessary for the pizza place, but has that ever stopped me? Never.

**also, if this post did not make any sense I blame medication and hours on end of reality television.

Almost Rebellious

I know that there is a spoken rule about not wearing white before Easter, which for some reason has a hold on me. I don't know why but I really do follow this rule (for the record, I don't really think this rule applies anymore.) Another rule I always follow: wait at least 15 minutes after eating before swimming. I am absolutely terrified of what would happen if I did not wait. I'm pretty sure chocking on your own vomit and then drowning is what happens, but I'll never know because I follow the rules.

However I do feel a bit  like a rebel in the fact that I still have two days before it's Easter and look at me -- I'm wearing white pants and open toed shoes. Rebel without a cause, I tell ya.

Oh Happy Day

I know that technically today is not the first day of spring, that in fact I must wait a few more weeks before I can call it official. But in my mind March 1 = spring. And as we all know, it's my favorite time of the year. Birds literally flew into my window this morning and pulled my curtains open for me, then helped me get dressed. This is why I love spring.

I kid. There were birds in my window but they hung around outside until 3 am last night tweeting up a storm (not on the Twitter, mind you.). But I still like spring, it's just nature I'm iffy about.

(If you were wondering, my dress is borrowed from my mom's closet. She is one stylish lady.)

Leopard Bottom Jeans

Well I'm back in town and $30 lighter from, sadly, the penny slots. I didn't dare to really gamble, because let's be honest -- I've got chump written all over me.

So I picked up these jeans at Target a few weeks back for $23 (yes for less than my Vegas loss). After seeing these in all of my magazines, I knew I had to find me a pair.  Although completely smitten with the idea of wearing leopard print on over 60% of my body, I wasn't convinced that I could pull them off.  But for $20 (and a bag of Sour Patch Kids) I thought why not? I'll try any trend for around $20. You can quote me on that.

Weekend Style

I have worn this outfit a minimum of two times in the last three days. (If I told you three times, you'd probably judge me, so let's just pretend I've only worn it twice.) There are a few reasons this might be the perfect weekend outfit. It's comfortable but still put together, I'm wearing a weekend acceptable heel and it fulfills my fascination with colored pants.

Please ignore the sunglasses. The light was much too pretty to pass up even through all of my make up left my face for the day. And trust me, no matter how pretty the light is, tired melted make-up face is seriously scary.

Soft and Sweet

It's one of those weird days where it's not quite cold but it's not quite warm. It's really the only time where a sweater and bare legs actually makes sense together. And then I wanted to look cute but be comfortable, too. Apparently today I want to be on both ends of the spectrum.

Also you can't see this but I was about two feet away from construction men that were pumping what was possibly sewage water onto the street as they were watching me snap photos. I ask you -- is there anything more awkward than taking outfit photos in front of construction men? Only if my third grade teacher and high school ex-boyfriend would have been passing by, then that would have been slightly more awkward.

Last Saturday and This Monday

Last Saturday I wore this outfit, so appropriately I would post it exactly one week later. Working retail means that even Saturdays I must get dressed up. This doesn't mean that I haven't spent hours trying to make sweat pants and heels work, but alas it just doesn't. There is just something about stained sweat pants that doesn't read "well-dressed". Quite the shame.

So  this Monday is the launch date of Bloom online. I am excited/nervous/nervous all in one. But mainly excited....and nervous. But excited.

Have a good weekend, friends. See you on Monday.
