Flowers through the Fog

Hey Friends! How are you? So I'm happy to say David and I have finished the 4th chapter of our book and are offically 90 pages into it! Woot woot! So I have a video to share with you today that David shot in Tokyo and I just finished editing. It is from the Fur Fur Spring 2012 presentation. It was an incredibly beautiful and spontaneous show. The models wore a mix of dark and light colored garments with flowers on their heads. We learned later from our friend that the styling of the show was mori girl. Mori girls are basically like forest wandering girls. We really loved the concept. There was really trippy, creepy music playing all through it. From time to time, some of the models would all stand up and slowly walk around and then, all at once, find a different seat and sit down. The motion and coordination of it all was really something to behold. We hope you like the video!

Welcome to Tokyo!

Hi!
So we arrived in Tokyo last night! It is so exciting and beautiful!
We were mesmerized as we drove into the city by all of the lights!
It was awe inspiring and reminded us of a scene from Tron. There were so many incredibly large buildings
and the Disney Hotel was glowing in the night like something out of a dream.
We also walked all around Shibuya last night and it was truly amazing.
We loved how many people were there! It was like a sea of people with a back drop of millions of bright lights.

We are so excited to be here for Tokyo Fashion Week! Our first show is coming up in a few hours.
We'll be keeping you posted on how everything is going. Hope you are having a great day!

Foggy Dream Walking

Hey Friends how was your weekend?
Mine was great!
My Sister and brother-in-law got me this amazing book from the Tim Burton exhibit
at LACMA, so i have been looking through it non-stop for the last two days!
I'm really excited to see what kind of art it will inspire :)
I'm also working on a new oil painting...
I've only done the first two layers of paint, but once it starts taking shape i will start posting pictures :)

Since i just started oil painting more lately, I thought it would be interesting to take what i'm learning and apply it over to digital painting. The Picture above is what i came up with. I like how it's a little bit different than my usual.

What I See When I Close My Eyes

Hey friends!
How are you?
Had a pretty relaxing weekend,
So spent the last week getting everything to release the EP my friend & I did.
I'm super excited about it.
It's going to be released July 12!

The Painting today is one of my favorite new pictures.
I think it's one of my all time favorite self-portraits.
it's kind of trippy how much it looks like me! haha
There is a strange dream like feel to the picture.
