Times Square. Possibly the most magical and surreal place in New York City. Billboard screen after billboard screen light up the streets and highlight just how many hundreds of people are swarming along them every minute of every day. The bright lights, naked cowboys, beeping taxi's and a Forever 21 that's open till 2am (!!) can be a little overwhelming, but to me it's one of the most beautiful places in NYC that had me pinching myself when I saw it for the first time. You can probably tell by now but I was a little obsessed (and I mean obsessed) with shooting on our fish eye lens when we were away. It really is just perfect for a place like this. I love how it shows you how tall these buildings are, how easily they can tower over you and how small they really make you feel. Add these incredibly bright lights and you kind of have a blog post that makes me feel a little nauseous, but in a good way? Kind of how I felt when I was really there. After strolling through Times Square, swinging on street signs and laying in the middle of a busy road to take one of these photos, Luke and I had Japanese in Hell's Kitchen before finishing our night with The Lion King Musical on Broadway. Only one word comes to mind when I think about this night: magic.
