Aw! This album is so good! We are listening to Minor Bird, the new album that was just released from our good friends Sucré. And that is what this painting is from! It is for their merchandise that they are selling on their site. Hope you all like the painting! It is one of my favorite portraits that I have ever done. I have known Stacy for a long time, and I just really feel like it captures her. Also, if you like their music and are in the LA area, they are playing this Thursday at Bootleg Theatre. We're definitely going to be there! Hope to see you!

Hanne Gaby Odiele
Hey, Friends!
So glad you liked the Rachel Antonoff invite. The Painting today is of model Hanne Gaby Odiele in Lyell Spring 2006 look book. I really like Hanne as a model. She has a great look. I was excited to finally paint her. I hope you like it! Hope you're having a great night!
My Riviera Magazine Cover
Hey Friends, how was your weekend?
Ours was great. We decorated for Christmas with friends today.
I still can't believe Christmas is only a week away.
I thought i would post the cover i did for Orange County based Riviera Magazine.
It was fun to do something with a magazine in my home town.
Also, tomorrow my issue of What's Contemporary comes out!
I'm really, really, really, really excited for you all to see it.
It's a lot different than my usual, and it's a really personal magazine issue.
So, can't wait to share that with you tomorrow.
I hope you are doing great.
P.S. I'm thinking of doing the Live Painting this Thursday at 12:30 pm pst. Let me know what you think? :)
Blinded by the Glow - Natalia Vodianova
Hey Friends,
Well been working night and day trying to finish a side project. To be in the right mood for the project, I have been listening to different composers and symphonies. After two days of that, tonight I decided I needed a big change of pace. So needless to say, I have Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night" stuck in my head now. Oh well. Haha I had started this painting a few weeks ago but i actually think the party feel of "Last Friday Night" really came through in the brighter colors of the painting. Haha! The painting seriously didn't come together until the last minute, and I'm not sure what it is about this one, but I think I like it. I love painting Natalia Vodianova. She is really amazing. Well, i hope you're having a great night. :)
P.S. I'm finally on Instagram! My name on there is "dannyroberts" :)
Mina Cvetkovic in the Dark
Aw! It's been forever! How are you all?
I have been out of control busy! And I am just
getting over the flu! So brutal! Most of my
family got really sick this week. It was awful!
So glad we are all starting to recover.
So this painting is one I did a few weeks back.
It is of Mina Cvetkovic, and is definitely trippy!
Haha! I was playing around with some different paper
and modifying a few old techniques.
I hope you all like it and are doing great : )
McQueen's Girl
Morning!
How was your weekend? Mine was amazing! We saw the last Harry Potter movie and it was incredible!
Thank you for all your support on the Dream Walking Society Ep!
It really means a lot. :)
The picture today is one i did last week.
There is something about it i really like.
I think it's the soft mellow vibe.
It sort of has the feel of a dream i had a few days ago.
The mediums i used were fluid inks, pens, & pencils.
And the dress is one of my favorite dresses from Alexander McQueen fall 2006.
I really hope you like it,
and hope you're having a great day!
P.S. Thank you for all your kind birthday wishes! You all are amazing :)
What I See When I Close My Eyes
Hey friends!
How are you?
Had a pretty relaxing weekend,
So spent the last week getting everything to release the EP my friend & I did.
I'm super excited about it.
It's going to be released July 12!
The Painting today is one of my favorite new pictures.
I think it's one of my all time favorite self-portraits.
it's kind of trippy how much it looks like me! haha
There is a strange dream like feel to the picture.
Let me know what you think.
I hope you like it :)
Natalia Vodianova - Mixed Media
Sarah Jaffe for ELIZA Magazine
Hi, friends!
I'm happy to share a painting with you that I did of my
friend Sarah Jaffe, based on a photo by my friend Chris Phelps
for ELIZA Magazine run by my friend Summer. Yay, friends!
Its so fun to get to do a good collaboration, especially with friends.
It's been so rad to see Sarah get some momentum and great reviews!
One of her songs was featured recently on TeenVogue.com!
Sarah's album Suburban Nature is available on iTunes, if you want to check it out : )
Oxygen Cover - First Idea
Hi, friends!
Wow! Have been so busy! Been working on the story
like crazy! Also, I got see my friend Sarah Jaffe
play right by my house on Sunday! She sounded so good!
Cleaning up my room right now cause I my Friends Tim and Dee and
there son Odin are coming into to town.
I'm so excited to hang out with them this week : )
The painting today is my first magazine cover idea for Oxygen magazine
from a while ago. We ended up using a brighter image for cover,
but I thought this was a trippy drawing.
I hope you are having a great week! : )
Gemma Ward and Lily Cole - Character Sketchbook 161
Hello! Sorry for how long its been
since my last post. I've been working
like crazy on the story my brother and I are
writing. Currently sorting inspiration images
for locations and characters. Its been very intense!
This painting is from my Character Sketchbook and
is based on a photo by Annie Leibovitz. I love how dynamic
the photo is with so many different people in it and I
hope the painting captured that.
I hope you like the painting and hope I can start posting more!
Portrait of Kate Moss at Age 17

can finally share it with you all!
So today's post is a portrait of Kate Moss
based on a photo by Frederique Veysset from 1991
when Kate Moss was only 17 years old!
